| Plywood Prices may rise further 15% in India |
The challenging situation of rise in cost of raw material & Chemicals, shortage of labourers in Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, plywood manufacturers are compelled to increase price of Plywood. Local plywood manufacturer associations like Punjab Plywood manufacturers Association (PPMA), Haryana Plywood Manufacturers Association (HPMA), Yamunanagar Plywood Manufacturers Association (YPMA) and North India Plywood Manufacturers Association (NIPMA) in a joint meeting discussed the issue in broad. It has been seen a sharp increase of 25% in price of Popular & Safeda timber and near about 15% in Phenol and formaldehyde the major basic raw material for plywood. If the prices of raw material will continue to rise plywood prices may touch new highs in coming months.
